In a unexpected collaboration that defies conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
According to the authorized announcement, "A strange confrontation leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of prohibited rituals and terrifying transformations reverberate through the darkness." The storyline introduces a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden sect.
The questline centers on "bizarre tests and a monstrous enemy" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
The teaser features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer finishes with a dramatic scene showing a character, presumably the hostage, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
